Sandi Treliving is committed to closing the gender gap within the mental health sector by addressing the disparities in access to mental health research and care for women and girls. As she reflects back on her firsthand experience of mental health within her family, she understands how it feels to be profoundly affected.
“As I grew older and became more involved in various philanthropic endeavors, I kept coming back to mental health,” she says. “I relate so strongly to this cause and have lived through its impact on our communities.”
For this reason, Sandi is joining the Women Moving Millions (WMM) community alongside her daughter, Kate Borger. WMM is comprised of individuals who have pledged to donate $1 million or more to resources for women and girls. With this, the mother-daughter pair is creating a legacy their children and grandchildren can be proud of.
